KANTAREN homeopathic medicine for the prevention and treatment of urolithiasis and cystitis, solution for oral use

After sterilization and castration, the urinary system of animals often suffers. Feeding pets with cheap brands of dry food also leads to the appearance of unpleasant symptoms. According to statistics, every fifth adult cat needs to be examined by a veterinarian due to urolithiasis.

The drug Kantaren for cats is an excellent means of preventing and treating this disease.

Instructions for use

We give an injection

  1. Prepare a disposable syringe for collecting the solution.
  2. Bend the aluminum element onto the tube stopper. The rubber part of the stopper should be wiped with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.
  3. Pierce the rubber stopper with a needle and draw out the medicine; the bottle should be in an upright position during this action.
  4. Now remove the syringe from the bottle, turn it upside down with the needle and release the air bubbles.
  5. Ask someone close to you to hold your cat. At the same time, it is important to calm him down, and especially not to make sudden movements, as this will increase the fluffy’s stress state.
  6. Use your thumb and index finger to create a fold of skin between your shoulder blades.
  7. Insert the needle into the resulting fold 1.5-2 centimeters.
  8. Slowly pressing the plunger, inject the medicine into the cat's body.
  9. Upon completion of the procedure, remove the needle and calm your pet.

We give pills in 3 ways

1 method

Open your pet's mouth and place the tablet on the base of the tongue. His swallowing reflex will work, and then he will be able to swallow it without any problems.

Method 2

  1. Using a teaspoon, crush the dose of tablets into powder.
  2. Remove the plunger from the syringe and, plugging the needle spout, pour in the resulting powder.
  3. Add 2-3 ml of water inside and then insert the plunger.
  4. Shake the mixture thoroughly to dissolve the tablets.
  5. Place the nozzle of the syringe behind the cat's cheek and pour in the mixture little by little. Just pour in gradually, as the cat must have time to swallow the solution.
  6. At the end of the procedure, give your pet a treat so you can calm him down.

Method 3

This method should be chosen if the previous 2 did not work for you. The tablets need to be crushed and then mixed with a portion of food (any food except dry).

Drops

Drops can be dropped directly into the cat's mouth, or added to food. Drops are mainly used by owners who do not have the opportunity to give injections to their cats.

When to use the medicine

The wide spectrum of action allows the drug to be used for various pathologies of the genitourinary system in pets.

  • Urethritis in any form - chronic, as well as exacerbation of the condition;
  • Pyelonephritis, pyelitis;
  • Accumulation of sand and stones in the urinary tract;
  • Cystitis, vaginitis;
  • Bladder tonesmus;
  • Renal colic;
  • Urological syndromes;
  • Infectious diseases of the genitourinary system.

In addition to the properties described above, Cantaren allows you to normalize protein metabolism in the cat’s body. Therefore, it is important to use the drug in cases of water-salt imbalance.

Veterinarians advise not to wait until the genitourinary system develops symptoms of the disease. Cantaren can be used as a prophylactic agent. It would also be a good idea to keep the medicine in the first aid kit. Cantaren can be used as an emergency treatment for a domestic cat even before the veterinarian arrives.

Cantaren can also be used one-time if the owner does not know what diagnosis awaits the cat, but sees obvious symptoms. For example, blood clots in the urine of an animal. You can also give Kantaren to your animal if it experiences pain when urinating.

After such a one-time dose, you should definitely contact a veterinarian for examination. Long-term treatment with Cantaren should not be carried out without consulting a doctor. The drug is used to relieve symptoms until a diagnosis is made. The cat should be examined by a specialist!

If the condition worsens, it is recommended to use an injectable form of the medicine before the doctor arrives.

Reviews:

Christina: My cat was diagnosed with urolithiasis last year. The doctor prescribed Cantaren injections for us. It’s a long way for us to travel to the veterinary clinic every day, so I decided to give the injections myself. My husband helped me hold Vasya, while I carefully injected the solution. A month later, the cat began to recover, and now he feels good. Now the veterinarian has categorically forbidden feeding the pet dry food. Now we are creating an individual diet for my pet. I can recommend the drug Kantaren to everyone!

Roman: I immediately decided to trust this product, since it contains only components of plant origin. My cat Sonya was diagnosed with urethritis during examination at the clinic. For treatment I used cantarene in tablet form. We recently went for an examination, and the doctor assured that Sonya was on the mend. No side effects were noticed after 2 weeks of use; a pack of tablets costs only 150 rubles.
