Externally, the fountain resembles a cross between a bidet and a urinal. If you like house parties, be careful - God forbid, one of the tipsy guests will mistake this fountain for a toilet (just kidding). Tank volume – 1.8 liters. Almost normal, but why not 2 liters?

The pump has an adjustable water flow rate, which can be set to a minimum, but even in this case, the hum of the pump will be heard stronger than that of more reputable competitors. The lower reservoir has marks for the maximum and minimum water levels, but in reality the pump's hum increases long before the level drops to a minimum. Because of this, water has to be added more often.

The water spout has two replaceable nozzles. One nozzle creates a stream, like from a bidet, and the other - a stream, like in a urinal, flowing down a flat wall into the lower reservoir. When using the bidet attachment, the sound of rushing water appears, many cats love this. When using the urinal attachment, the sound of running water is almost inaudible.

Carbon filter (included) - same as the Feed-Ex Lotus model. Replacement filters are sold in sets of three (enough for at least 3 months), but different sellers charge different markups. As a result, the price of the set ranges from a reasonable 400 to an absolutely shameless 850 rubles.

“Auto-drinkers” for cats and dogs from the American brand PetSafe, the largest supplier of pet supplies in the USA. Three models of the fountain differ in size and volume - 1.2 liters (Mini), from 1.5 to 3 liters (Original) and 5 liters (Platinum). The price depends on the model and starts from 4,000 rubles for the smallest.

Design... Well, what can I say, another fontanelle fountain, similar to a urinal. It’s good that the manufacturer cared and released three models to choose from. The five-liter Platinum model is equipped with a removable water tank - this is convenient, given the considerable dimensions and weight of the “drinker” itself. The three-liter Original model actually only holds 1.5 liters, but allows you to install a removable reservoir for an additional 1.5 liters. Alas, it is almost impossible to find this tank for sale, so the estimate for the volume of the fountain will have to be reduced. And the Mini model is probably addressed to very miniature cats living with lazy owners.

Removable powerful carbon filters are designed for 1 month of operation, sold in sets of 3 pieces at a price of over 800 rubles per set. Not cheap! The design of the case and the quality of its manufacture are far from ideal. Firstly, the case is simply replete with internal partitions, bottlenecks, crevices and corners in which plaque and dirt accumulate. It is impossible to wash these places without using brushes and aggressive detergents. Secondly, the processing of the plastic on the edges of the case is so bad that you can accidentally scratch your hands.

Users of Drinkwell fountains often complain about a constant hum from the pump, even though the Platinum model is equipped with - according to the manufacturer - an updated low-noise motor. Not the most common, but still available on sale fountain from the Belgian company Savic. But water can be consumed in three “ways”: at the top of the fountain it is a “geyser”, then the water flows into the bowl – this is a “jet”, and finally, in the bowl itself the water is almost “stagnant”, like in a bowl. The price in Russia is from 4,000 to 5,000 rubles.

The design is ordinary, nothing special, but not ugly either. The plastic, like all Savic products, is of high quality, it is smooth and carefully processed. The internal structure is not the most optimal; there are “extra” fastening parts that other manufacturers can easily do without. However, this does not complicate assembly and disassembly much, and there are almost no inaccessible cracks and places where plaque and dirt accumulate.

The pump is not silent, but quiet. There is an adjustable water pressure. The filter is dismountable and consists of a plastic housing and an insert filled with activated carbon. The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter insert every month, and more often if you have more than one animal. But for two or more animals this fountain is too small; it is better to choose a larger model from another manufacturer.

A collapsible filter is, theoretically, a brilliant thing. You could save a lot of money by buying and replacing just the earbuds. But the manufacturer has his own view of things, and replacement filters are sold in the form of sets of a plastic case and three replaceable inserts. However, the price is not too high, on average 400-450 rubles per set, which will last for three months. In foreign online stores you can find offers for about the same price including delivery to Russia.

The design of the fountain is much more pleasing than the design of cheaper models from this manufacturer. The stainless steel case looks especially impressive. And from a hygiene point of view, stainless steel is better than plastic. Both models are dishwasher safe. The metal and plastic versions differ in the location of the pump, but more on that at the end of the review.

The device operates quietly, the pump is almost inaudible. The splashing from the flowing streams of water is not annoying. By the way, the more jets you choose, the less pressure in each jet, and vice versa. In addition, the water pressure can be adjusted manually. The Drinkwell 360 fountain is not small - about 30 cm in diameter and 20 cm in height. This is good if you have more than one animal in the house - they can drink together.

The developers managed to rid the insides of the device of unnecessary “interference” and obstacles; everything in this model is smooth and smooth. True, the design of the fountain is a little more complicated than that of most competitors. It uses two separate filters - mechanical and carbon. The mechanical filter for the pump is a piece of foam rubber that traps hair and debris, and a removable carbon filter for water disinfection is placed in a tube in the central section of the fountain. The top of the tube is covered with a spout nozzle with adjustable water pressure. Is it good or bad? Let's figure it out!

The carbon filter requires replacement every two weeks. At the same time, replacement filters are not easy to find in Russia; you need to order them from foreign online stores. As a result, a more complex (at first glance) design with separate filters turned out to be more convenient. And under certain conditions, even more profitable. This is a big plus.

The only thing that confused us a little about the design of the fountain was the location of the electric cord for the pump in the metal version. Unlike the plastic model, where the wire is passed under the bottom of the fountain and is not visible at all, in the stainless steel model the wire is brought out, directly into the bowl, and thrown over the side. Plastic clips are provided to protect and secure the wire, but still, this is not the most aesthetic solution. And perhaps not the most reliable if your cat likes to chew on wires.

The filters are inexpensive: a pack of 4 carbon filters costs $4.24, a pack of 12 filters costs $11.19. Foam filters sell for $3.79 per pair. But we already know that carbon filters can be abandoned if the fountain is filled with clean drinking water, and the filters for the pump are cut out of foam rubber.
