My wonderful three-year-old Toshka went for a walk in the dark on March 1st, at 5 am I was already looking for him - he disappeared without a trace. There wasn’t a hit-and-run man lying on the neighboring streets, it didn’t seem to be in the trash either, I didn’t see him anywhere, he was calling and calling in all the surrounding yards. Rumor has it that two drunks from our yard are shooting cats out of the air. because in the spring cats scream. But cats disappear all year round, most often on Saturdays. Where they put them - these cats - is unknown, and I didn’t see them with a gun in their hands. What to do. You can’t attract the police, they have a lot to do even without my Toshenka. Installing cameras is illegal, they say, you have to ask this killer for permission to install it. Maybe someone can advise something.

   The cat was neutered, lived with me for two and a half years, walked around all the neighboring yards, very large - 6 kg, climbed trees and fences excellently, very friendly, never fought with anyone, was friends with the neighbor's shepherd dog (though he didn't take risks without needs - played with it through a chain-link mesh).

   I’m very sorry, but do you generally understand that if an animal walks on its own on the street, then every time you let it out, you have to say goodbye forever? I really want all your cats to return, but this should also be a lesson: cats have been pets for a long time and should live at HOME. I also took animals from the street - most often in poor condition - nursed them and left them at home. They don’t feel any particular longing for the street; safety is more important. But more than once I saw well-groomed, beautiful, domestic animals being walked on the roadway in a mat or simply dead in the yard or at the entrance in the morning, when I went out before the wipers. :( Take care of your pets, don’t let them out into the street!

    In the summer of 2020, namely on July 28, a cat disappeared at the dacha. He was 3 years old, in August he should have been 4, not neutered. Previously, he also went for a walk, but not for long (for 3-4 hours, maybe less).

    He left, as usual, after eating at about 10-11. We were at the dacha doing completely ordinary things and didn’t even suspect anything. Around 16 we decided to check whether the cat was at home or not, he wasn’t at home. Of course, we got scared and started looking for him. At first We looked in the area: we looked under the trees, called and scattered goodies along the fence. Then we went to look in the neighboring areas (next to our house and behind it there are empty unpurchased areas, and there are overgrown grasses and a lot of trees). We reported the loss to the security guard and went to his home. At night on the same day we heard his meowing (it was somewhere behind our site). We woke everyone up and ran to look, but soon he stopped meowing and we went into the house.

    Every day we went looking for him throughout the village, posted advertisements, asked neighbors, even went to neighboring villages (We looked for about 2-3 weeks, but soon we had to go back to the city... We returned to the dacha every week and everything was in vain (((

    Since the end of August, I haven’t been to the dacha, and 7 months have already passed and hope is slowly fading in me (((To be honest, I don’t even know what to do because the cat was very dear to me)

    I think that I will also spend next summer searching for it, but still, if you have encountered a similar problem, then please tell me what can be done in this situation.
