Cats are not only our favorite pets who amuse and touch, but also good healers for many diseases. This is still unproven, but a fact that has existed since ancient times, when cats were considered sacred animals. Do cats heal humans?
In ancient Rus', it was believed that cats, in some way known only to them, were able to transform the bad energy of a sick person into positive energy. It is interesting that it was in Rus' that the teaching of so-called cat therapy began.
Further, not only ancient Egyptian sages and Tibetan lamas, but also healers in America and Europe began to use the healing abilities of fluffies.

Animal-assisted therapy
Animal + treatment (Animal + therapy) (lat.) – a type of human treatment through direct and indirect (not direct) contact with animals.
Animal therapy has been known since the times of Ancient Greece and Rome; cats and other animals (not necessarily domestic ones) were willingly used as doctors in India and Egypt, and our ancestors also trusted the treatment of “natural healers”.
However, close attention to this method was paid only in the 17th century, in a hospital for people with mental disabilities in York (England). The fact that ownerless cats wandering around the house of grief have a calming effect not only on the staff, but also on the patients, was noticed long ago, but, after a series of observations, it was found that after direct communication with the kitty, the patients experienced moments of brief clarity of consciousness and peace . The patient clearly showed “positive dynamics” after his furry friend visited the poor fellow. Patients deprived of this opportunity did not demonstrate such dynamics.
In the same York, in the House of Worship at the York Retreat Hospital, where children not only with mental but also physical disabilities were admitted, it was also noted that the cats and dogs living at the house seemed to “breathe” into the children the desire to live and chat. Without communication there is no development!
In human “cubs,” motor skills and coordination of movements improved, speech improved and became meaningful, and most importantly, aggression decreased, the number of seizures decreased, and the feeling of hostility to the outside world disappeared.
The head physician of the hospital, risking his position, increased the “staff” by including, in addition to cats and dogs, also rabbits and birds, reasoning that by caring for weaker creatures that needed attention, children would strengthen their faith in their spiritual strength. He turned out to be right.
Such an unusual treatment method quickly found its followers. At the beginning of the 8th century. In Germany, a Krankenanstalt (medical institution) was opened, where it was planned to cure people from complex forms of epilepsy.
The hospital opened in a big way! Two cattle farms (rabbit and sheep), a stable for almost a hundred horses, a poultry farm and, an obligatory attribute of zootherapy: dogs of different breeds and almost 200 cats. It was an institution where treatment was very, very expensive.
However, the price has more than justified itself - today the clinic has grown to 7 thousand beds, and this is already a small town with its own patients and animal doctors, whose main task is to allow you to care for yourself, willingly go into your hands , enjoy spending time with your charges.
So, the idea of animal-assisted therapy does not belong to Boris Levinson (USA), as is commonly believed. He only introduced the term “Pet Therapy” - treatment with pets in the mid-60s. last century, since he noted positive dynamics in the treatment of autism in children when they interacted with his kind pet dog. He could not explain how contact occurs between the consciousness of a child and an animal, although he scientifically substantiated the use of the method and attracted the attention of scientists and other doctors to it.
Animal-assisted therapy, canistherapy and feline therapy
Depending on which animals are involved in the treatment, there are also names for the “departments” of animal-assisted therapy.
Most Popular:
- Hippotherapy (horses)
- Dolphin therapy
- Canistherapy (dogs)
- Felinotherapy (cats)
Let’s leave the volumes with dolphin therapy and hippo therapy on the shelf for now, let’s see how the treatment principles of these two doctors – cats and dogs – are different and similar.
The impact of these animals on the human body is unique. Communication with a cat or dog normalizes blood pressure, helps to increase strength, activates brain cells, harmonizes its feelings, and ennobles thoughts. Even watching films about animals or funny videos with their participation charges us with a lot of positivity (isn’t that why we love cats and dogs on YouTube so much?); we only need to hear the loud barking or contented purring of a cat for “grace to descend upon us.” Running our hand through the thick fur of a pet, we experience pleasure close to erotic, and the presence of a pet’s warm body nearby gives us peace during sleep. Everything is true, but we experience the same feelings in the presence of a cat or dog, but they do not.
When did man domesticate the cat?
Cats are special animals. According to scientists, pets come from the Libyan subspecies of the wild cat and have changed little over thousands of years of interaction with humans. Man tamed them approximately 7 thousand years BC, and not 5, as previously thought. Evidence of this is the results of archaeological excavations on the island of Crete. There, French experts discovered the burial of a rich man. In the next small grave, next to its owner, lay a cat, buried with honors. According to scientists, the deceased’s favorite animal was specially killed in order to continue its journey with its owner to the afterlife.
This is not the only discovery of scientists. However, most animal sculptures and their images, made in tombs, on rocks and pottery, still date back to the 5th-3rd millennium BC.
Therapy differences
The Corson couple from the University of Ohio (USA), working closely with the University of London to popularize the Psychotherapy with Pets program and implement it for the treatment of mental disorders after head injuries and strokes.
The purpose of the work: to find out whether a complete recovery of the patient is really possible, and what is the percentage of improvements in the state of the brain and consciousness after prolonged contact with animals.
This was already the 20th century, and scientists could use sensors for determining high and low frequencies, which were used to determine the level of the brain’s reaction to external stimuli. The sensors were, of course, tuned to the frequency of the human brain, but they were connected to a generator that created an electric field. During one of the sessions, a cat entered the laboratory (the animals could move freely) and... the sensors simply “went crazy”! Having measured the electromagnetic field of the cat, scientists were surprised by the indicators: they no longer needed a generator - the cat “produced” a field of greater magnitude and lower frequency.
Colleagues in London were just trying to cure chronic inflammatory diseases using low currents, involving other animals in their work.
A report on the low-frequency field created by a common house purr was immediately sent to the UK. They took this message seriously and conducted a series of tests with cats, dogs and people. In order not to bore you with a long retelling of the experiments themselves, we note the main thing: a cat, during the treatment process, absorbs a lot of energy from a person, and a dog gives back its own.
Both the dog and the cat accurately find sore spots; apparently, they recognize these spots in the same way. Each human organ has its own color spectrum and frequency radiation. When an organ is damaged, both the spectrum and radiation are disrupted.
Since neither a dog nor a cat has color vision, it is logical to assume that it is electromagnetic radiation that influences their choice.
Cat therapy is similar to the actions of a surgical instrument - a cat treats a person, eliminating the disease, “taking” it into itself.
Canine treatment is close to rehabilitation after surgical intervention - relief and recovery.
This is the main difference between canisterapia and felistherapia.
What diseases can cats treat?
Thanks to the research of English and American scientists, humanity has become firmly established in its assumptions that cats cure human illnesses with their presence and touch. The list of these diseases has also expanded. Cat therapy is indicated
- when working with mentally retarded children and in general with people suffering from any disorders of brain activity;
- for people with heart disorders (literally and figuratively);
- help reduce drug and alcohol addiction;
- for a person prone to depression, neuroses, mania and schizophrenia.
Cats perfectly “smell” diseases of human internal organs and contribute to their cure. This is an indispensable “device of natural origin” for people whose full life is disrupted by osteochondrosis, arthrosis, radiculitis and other orthopedic ailments.
Stroking soft cat fur normalizes blood pressure, significantly reduces the risk of heart attack, and recovery after a stroke is several times faster.
Overwork or sleep disturbance? Cat warmth, a calming song-fairy tale - a real relaxation session with meditation in the absence of any medications.
The presence of a cat is almost imperceptible, it does not cause fear or irritation, it simply caresses, purrs, makes itself comfortable and... begins to perform miracles!
The attending physician of the Hermitage cats spoke about the preferences of unusual patients
Text: Alexey Makeev However, they are ordinary only at first glance. The cats of the Hermitage are real servants and lovers of Mozart, Anna Kondratyeva, the chief veterinarian of the State Hermitage, told the publication Veterinary Science and Life.
Animals have been protecting museum storerooms, valuable exhibits, and artistic paintings from rodents for more than two centuries.
Decree on the expulsion of cats to the court
Anna, it is known that the first cats were brought to the Winter Palace specifically to combat the proliferation of rodents. How relevant is this mission today?
Anna Kondratieva:
Indeed, the first cats in the Hermitage (then still in the Winter Palace - the ceremonial residence of the Romanovs) appeared under Empress Elizabeth Petrovna, in the middle of the 18th century. The palace at that time was overcome by hordes of rats and mice, which harmed the building, gnawing even its walls.
It is believed that the animals were brought from Kazan after the cats rid the city of rodents. Having learned about this, the Empress issued a “Decree on the expulsion of cats to the court,” and 30 of the best and biggest were taken to the Winter Palace.
The cats living in the Hermitage today successfully continue the work of their predecessors. Naturally, like any other museum, the Hermitage regularly carries out deratization and disinfestation, but rodents are rarely found in the museum - cats scare them away with their presence and smell.
Are today's inhabitants of the museum descendants of those same cats brought from Kazan?
Anna Kondratieva:
No. Firstly, at that time they already knew about castration. Castrated cats stopped marking their territory, and the instinct to reproduce did not distract them from their main purpose - hunting rodents.
But the decisive role, of course, was played by the Great Patriotic War. Unfortunately, during the siege of Leningrad, all the cats in the city disappeared. After the war, cats were again brought to rat-infested Leningrad, this time from Yaroslavl. Eyewitnesses said that after the train with them arrived in the city, none of the employees dared to go open the carriage - the animals had not eaten anything for several days on the road and literally became brutal.
Vaccinated, microchipped, introduced to art
How many cats live permanently in the Hermitage today? And how are they recorded? Maybe everyone has an inventory number?
Anna Kondratieva:
Of course, everyone has a number, but not an inventory number - all the cats in the museum are microchipped.
Today, about 70 cats or cats, or, as they are also called, “ermics,” live in the Hermitage. They do not live in one large pride (family pack - editor's note
), but live evenly in groups of 5-10 animals. Mainly in the basements of the museum and in the courtyards, although it happens that through ventilation they penetrate into the exhibition halls, even to the very top floors.

Are you drawn to art?
Anna Kondratieva:
The last time they entered the Impressionist hall. But this is most likely due to the characteristics of the building’s ventilation systems.
By the way, anyone can meet cats. Every second Saturday and Sunday in May the museum holds “Hermitage Cat Day”.
Are the Ermik nicknames also related to art, or do Vaskas and Barsikis predominate?
Anna Kondratieva:
All the cats in the Hermitage are named after artists or their muses. The eldest is named Jean-Baptiste-Michel Vallin-Delamot in honor of the French architect, author of many projects for the Winter Palace. There is a galaxy of red “impressionist” cats: Gauguin, Cezanne, Van Gogh. We are currently looking for a family for the white cat Rossi, also named after a Russian architect with Italian roots.
Recently, a cat named Danae found a new family. Saskia van Uylenburch, named after Rembrandt's wife, lives in the museum.
Are the Hermitage cats a “closed club”, or do animals from the street end up in the museum?
Anna Kondratieva:
New animals freely enter the Hermitage from the street through open vents - for cats the museum is open around the clock. Of course, when there are too many animals, this is a problem. Cats begin to fight for a place in the hierarchy and offend newcomers. In addition, dangerous infections can be brought in from the street. Therefore, in the museum we regularly vaccinate and monitor the number of cats - some of them remain to live in the museum, while others find a new home in other museums of St. Petersburg or in the families of citizens. One of our “ermics” even performs at Yuri Kuklachev’s theater.

That is, anyone can come to the Hermitage and return as the owner of a museum cat?
Anna Kondratieva:
Not certainly in that way. We must be convinced of the person's serious intentions. The potential owner comes to the museum with a passport and a carrier for the animal and undergoes a rather strict interview, based on the results of which a decision is made to transfer the animal.
Do you place new children into families first or are you guided by some other criteria?
Anna Kondratieva:
First of all, we try to find a new home either for newcomers or for those animals that for some reason have become uncomfortable in the Hermitage. For example, an elderly cat felt tired, and we see that he will feel better at home. But don’t think that all the Hermitage cats are “white and fluffy”; some of them are real “servants”. They are accustomed to the museum and would never exchange life in a palace for a city apartment.
Mozart connoisseurs
They can be understood. Is it true that Hermitage cats differ in behavior from their counterparts from veterinary clinics or from breeders?
Anna Kondratieva:
Yes, museum cats are more tolerant; we have never had problems introducing “ermic cats” into families that already have cats. Hermitage cats quite easily find a common language with other pets. In addition, they have good taste - our cats love to listen to Mozart and other classical works.

Some of the Hermitage cats now live in the “Republic of Cats” you discovered. What kind of project is this?
Anna Kondratieva:
As I already said, not all cats in the Hermitage get along well in the community, and new families need to be found for these cats. The art space “Republic of Cats” is a place not far from the Hermitage. You can come here, drink coffee, have a good time, chat with animals and learn more about them, and perhaps take a cat home. Now 25 cats live here.
“Republic of Cats” is the first cat cafe not only in Russia, but also in Europe. Unlike similar establishments in Asia, we do not focus on selling purebred animals, but are, in fact, an alternative to traditional shelters. I am very proud that our followers, who today open the same cat cafes in Russia, turn to us for advice.
How popular is it
to come and pet an animal for money?
Anna Kondratieva:
Places in the “Republic of Cats” for the weekend are booked several weeks in advance. And in our new project “Republic of Cats” we launched a new format - we tried to get away from the word “money”, and now everyone can come to us to communicate with the animals and leave the amount that they themselves wish and which will not be burdensome for them.
The main task of the “Republic of Cats” is to find owners for abandoned animals? Or is that not all?
Anna Kondratieva:
Our main goal is the formation of not just a humane, but an animal-humane attitude. That is, it is important to learn to treat animals well as animals, without trying to humanize them.
A striking example is issues related to castration. There is so much talk about neutered cats allegedly suffering from an inferior life, while forgetting that animals reproduce not for pleasure, but following instinct, which is impossible to realize in an apartment. It seems to me that a cat is ideal for developing such an attitude. So to speak, she is an “indicator of humanity.” A cat makes you feel like a real person.
How cats treat humans
It is already clear that the cat is literally attracted to negative energy. Cats have a greater “need” for such energy than cats, which is why they are better healers than cats. Cats get this energy, treat you, working at 100 percent! Here you have a deep “paw” massage, and acupressure “claw pricking”, and energetic “tongue wet procedures” and the obligatory irradiation of the sore spot with the waves of your own body. The treatment complex necessarily includes purring.
North Carolina scientists have established another interesting fact: the wave range of a cat's song coincides with the range of ultrasonic waves that are irradiated to damaged or broken human bones for the fastest healing of bone tissue (27-44 Hz).
There are ultra-waves that help heal deep wounds and trophic ulcers. A cat allowed into the body of such a patient unerringly “tunes” its internal “perpetual motion machine” to this wavelength, and healing moves 30-50% faster.
Felines are designed in such a way that for some reason they need low frequency currents. They are produced by their fur coat, when the hairs rub against each other when moving, but from “extra. Felines never refuse to feed negative, low-frequency energy. While scientists have not determined why they need energy that is harmful to humans, and where they spend it, one thing is clear: the friendship between a cat and a person is a mutually beneficial cooperation. Fact!
Often a cat in pain or fear will purr on its own; cats heal themselves by relieving their own pain. A pet does the same thing for an owner who is unable to exercise (sick, old). Purring intensely, cats and kittens themselves place themselves under the owner’s hands, “combing” between his fingers. Such tactile bioenergetic contact causes the nerve receptors on the skin of the hands to send positive emotions to the neural connections of the brain, receiving hormones of joy and pleasure in response.
However, such an effect can only be achieved with the furry doctor’s own desire - forcing a cat to treat diseases or alleviate suffering is useless. Moreover, in the absence of contact or forcibly holding the stick near you, you risk getting the completely opposite option - the cat will “dump” you with the negative energy that it has already accumulated and treatment will take a long time and at great cost. Only trust and full contact!
Furry and eared animals understand with their “spinal cord” how a person treats them. You won’t be able to deceive them with sweet lisps, be honest with them and everything will be rewarded to you a hundredfold!
The benefits of cats for humans
Scientifically, treatment with cats is called feline therapy. This direction in medicine became officially recognized relatively recently; previously, cat therapy was considered folk medicine, and a doctor who heard from a patient that his cat was able to take some of the pain and discomfort upon himself perceived these words with skepticism. However, it is true that cats have a positive effect on the human body.
It is known that a cat’s body temperature is 38–39 °C. Therefore, healers recommend using such living heating pads to treat sore joints, colds, and fever. When stroking an animal, it releases electrostatic energy, which during illness has a positive effect on the functioning of many organs and systems. Healing cats help boost immunity with their purring. The sounds produced when purring fall within the range of 15-45 Hz. Thanks to special vibrations, the human body heals at the cellular level. There have been recorded cases where cats were able to completely cure incurable fatal diseases.
A cat heals a person by influencing him psychoenergetically. An animal of any color is very beautiful, its fur is pleasant to the touch. When a person communicates with such a cute creature, he experiences a lot of positive emotions. Thanks to this effect, the body’s protective functions are increased, various infections are destroyed more quickly, the patient’s health improves, and pathological signs weaken.
Several feline therapy exercises
Now that there is no longer any doubt about what cats heal and how they heal, it’s worth trying a few exercises that will help you maintain your health and make it easier for your cat to “care” for you:
- Call the cat closer to you and bury your head against it. Close your eyes and sit still for 5-7 minutes. If a cat rubs against your face, do not bother it.
- Gently place the cat on your neck, bend down so that it can stay there. Sit like this for a couple of minutes. If the cat jumps, do not hold it, accustom it to this exercise gradually.
- Several times, with force, alternately run each palm along the cat's back from the head to the tip of the tail.
- Lie on your stomach and invite your cat to settle on any part of your body. If the cat starts the massage, wait 10 minutes - this is quite enough.
- Roll over onto your back and lie down with the cat for some more time.
- Take the cat in your arms so that it lies completely in your arms from hand to elbow. Rock the cat as if you were holding a baby in your arms for 2-3 minutes.
- Sitting on a chair, place the cat on the outer side of your feet, slightly bent upward, and by stroking persuade him to stay on your feet for a couple of minutes. Over time, the cat or cat will get used to it and will happily lie on your feet.
These exercises were specially developed by Pet Therapy International for cat therapy. The exercises are suitable for people of all ages who want to restore and strengthen their health with the help of a pet.
Cats really do heal people. But you shouldn’t rely on your cat’s abilities if you are diagnosed with appendicitis or, say, peritonitis. A cat cannot cure surgical diseases!
Cats have a wonderful life: they are constantly either eating or resting. If we talk about the benefits of cats, the first thing that comes to mind is that they catch mice. After thinking a little, you can remember that cats can still heal, but few people take this seriously - but in vain! Cats really do heal, and it's scientifically proven. Having considered the issue, let’s study their medicinal properties.
- ?
How are cats treated? Many have noticed that when we are in a bad mood, stroking a cat improves it, and this is not only due to the fact that the cat is an animal and brings joy. Scientists at the University of London conducted a study which found that cats have a strong electromagnetic field. There is no question of any mysticism or mystery; in fact, the electromagnetic field around the cat is created thanks to its fur, which is electrified as a result of friction. When we pet cats, low frequency currents are transmitted to us, so the transmitted current has a positive effect on our body.
What breeds of cats are treated?
All cats have different medicinal properties. It has been established that cats have very strong healing properties for the nervous system, internal organs and injuries. Cats have a greater positive effect on spinal problems, such as osteochondrosis and radiculitis.
Further, the healing energy properties of cats are divided by color:
- Black cats – take away all negative and negative energy;
- Gray cats are better at calming people down;
- Red cats charge a person with positive energy;
- White cats are the best healers, as they have a universal medical effect that is inherent in cats of other colors.
In addition to color, the medicinal properties of cats depend on their fur: - Long-haired cats – cope with bouts of depression, fatigue and insomnia;
- Shorthair cats - treat cardiovascular problems;
- Hairless cats have a beneficial effect on problems associated with the kidneys and liver.
What do cats treat?Regardless of the breed, color and length of fur, absolutely all cats have healing properties, in addition, they feel where a person is experiencing pain and try to quickly settle on this place to help. Such places in a person can be both internal organs and wounds, abrasions and other injuries. Scientists have not yet reached a consensus on how exactly cats sense such places.
It should be noted that you cannot force your cat to treat it, since this initiative must be voluntary and come from the cat itself, otherwise you will get the opposite effect.
When lying down on a “sore” spot, cats are treated in different ways: they can simply lie down and lie in one place, or lightly prick with their claws. Many doctors compare the latter option in terms of effectiveness with modern acupuncture.
But that's not all, it has also been proven that the purring of a cat calms and lifts your spirits, especially if you are stroking the cat at the same time. By the way, when stroking a cat, within a few minutes a person’s high blood pressure normalizes.
Therefore, if your cat climbs onto the bed and lies on you, you should not shoo them away; perhaps they are not just bored, but have come to your aid. Observe the healing properties of your cat, perhaps she will become your family doctor and relieve both pain and illness.
By the way, we once talked about
Many people are interested in how cats heal people. Everything is very simple. Bioenergetic contact occurs between the animal and the owner. Eastern medicine has proven that human daily life is filled with stress and energy imbalances. This entails a lack of warmth, calmness and love. And it is pets that can fill a person with peace.
The healing abilities of cats are multifaceted. They warm you up, relieve stress, treat illnesses and fill you with a sense of significance. Scientists have long noted that these pets have a beneficial effect on the human body.
Therefore, to the question whether it is true that cats heal people, we can safely answer - yes, it is true.
Several hypotheses as to why cats are able to heal people
How do different cultures “use” healing cats?
Treatment cats in oriental medicine
It is curious that modern specialists in oriental medicine have developed a whole system of treating various diseases with the help of healing cats. Thus, it is assumed that all human diseases arise due to energy imbalance in the body. For example, kidney and heart failure, hypotension and arthritis, chronic fatigue, neurasthenia are classified as “yin” diseases, characterized by a lack of energy.
In turn, “yang” diseases include those diseases that arise due to excessive amounts of energy. These include osteochondrosis, hypertension, stroke and heart attack. Eastern experts believe that treating cats can cure this imbalance, and consequently the disease itself, since whiskers are able to “take” negative energy onto themselves in a certain way.
There is also an assumption that cats simply need negative energy.
For example, have you ever wondered why cats love to lie on washing machines, laptops or TVs? It is known that these devices are sources of negative electromagnetic oscillations. The cat “collects” these vibrations. The same thing happens with a person.
The cat senses where strong fluctuations of negative energy occur and lies down exactly there. According to this hypothesis, cats are treated not only by “absorbing” the negative energy of the sore spot, but also by massage with their paws and body heat.
Medical cats from a scientific point of view
If you look at cat therapy from a scientific point of view, several very logical points emerge as to why a person experiences relief when communicating with his mustachioed pet.
Firstly, a cat’s purring plays an important role in treatment. Scientists suggest that the vibrations of this sound can speed up the recovery of the body at the cellular level. It is also assumed that in this way the kitty is able to cure not only a person, but also itself. Scientists are seriously talking about the energetic abilities of cats.
For example, in London, during research into the treatment of diseases with low-frequency current, a cat accidentally entered the laboratory. When the purr passed near the current generator, the device practically failed, as all the sensors simply began to go off scale.
Scientists measured the cat's electromagnetic field and concluded that it could generate more energy than their research device. It is this moment that helps in the treatment of many diseases. Of course, all this is speculation, but the fact that cats heal or at least influence their environment at the electromagnetic level is an indisputable fact.
An experiment was also conducted by Western scientists, which confirmed that the mutual love of a person and a cat affects the health of both.
How does the treatment work?
Psychologists say that thanks to cats, people have become more open. They do not hesitate to show sincere feelings for their beloved pets. Which is very important, since the human subconscious perceives the world around us as a threat. A person does not know what will happen tomorrow and is afraid of it. Cats are considered psychics, absorbing fears and calling for mental balance.
Professors convince us that a long-term partnership with a cat brings enormous benefits, namely:
And scientists also say that the healing effect is purring. Like ultrasound, it strengthens bones and heals wounds not only in humans, but also in cats themselves. It is worth noting that at the time of childbirth and licking wounds, furry ones always purr
. This means that in this way they relieve the pain of the condition. American veterinarians provided evidence: 134 cats fell from the sixth floor, and only 14 died.
Cats are able to take away negative energy from a person, which is why the patient is treated.
They are trying to recycle and get rid of energy. Once a story was recorded when a pet treated its owner and took over the disease. The owner became healthy, but the cat died.
Cat therapy doesn't stop there. In the West, animals are exploited for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction.
Doctors observed furry cats for a long time and found that cats are able to treat people for problems with internal organs and the nervous system. Cats are excellent for treating osteochondrosis, arthrosis and radiculitis.
How is the treatment carried out?
To help its person, the pet can come and lie down next to him.
There are no exact instructions for effective treatment for cats. Like a person, an animal may be in the mood for communication, or perhaps at this moment it does not want to contact the patient. However, often pets who love their owner come to him themselves, lie down next to him, climb into his arms, or even try to sit in front of the problem area in order to provide the most effective healing effect.
Spayed or neutered cats lose the ability to treat various diseases.
Breed, coat and color
Do cats heal people? Yes and yes again. Only each pet is endowed with certain abilities.
Color
- Black cats are considered the most gifted and strongest. Thanks to their powerful energy, they are able to treat many diseases.
- White pets fill the owner with energy. For example, in England they are generally sold in pharmacies.
- Ryzhiki are able to charge with positivity.
- Ash animals are calming.
Coat size and breed
- Hairless ones, such as sphinxes, are capable of taking away a large amount of negative energy at a time. Yes, not everyone likes this breed, but it is the most talented healer of human ailments.
- Animals with long hair are neurologists. They treat depression, insomnia and relieve irritability.
- Medium coated dogs are considered cardiologists.
- Cats with short hair treat liver, kidney and gastrointestinal problems.
Many people are interested in whether barn cats can heal. Absolutely every cat is endowed with healing abilities. The main thing is to establish friendly relations, then the pet itself will come to the rescue.
The only condition is the age of the animal. Small, sociable, newborn kittens need to experience life, but an adult is already ripe for treatment.
It is worth remembering that cats treat their owners, and not visiting neighbors or guests. They know very well who loves, cares and cares about them. By the way, castrated and sterilized animals lose some of their healing abilities.
All kinds of human treatments begin with sincere feelings. Having climbed into the owner’s arms, the cat begins to absorb negativity
. And through the hands that tirelessly stroke the silky fur coat, positive impulses enter the body. If the pet tries to run away, then the treatment is over. There is no need to detain her, as this may harm your four-legged friend.
Healers or wizards
All owners know that pets love to be near electrical appliances that emit negative vibrations. But man is constructed in the opposite way.
Removing negative energy helps to get rid of a painful condition. Therefore, such a pet becomes a kind of miraculous gift from God to man.
Cats feel everything, so they treat certain diseases. Having sensed the place where a person needs help, the procedure begins. And each one does it in their own way. One tries to warm with its warmth, and the other resorts to using sharp claws, which results in a kind of acupuncture.
As soon as rumbling or purring begins, you know that the healing process has begun. Sounds act as a sedative on humans
, relaxing the whole body and letting go of unnecessary thoughts. There is no need to push your pet away; she will leave on her own when she finishes the “session.”
Diseases curable by cats
People are interested in what diseases cats treat. Here is a small list of diseases and methods of treatment.
Arrhythmia
If the heartbeat is strong, a person needs to call the pet and pet it for 2-3 minutes or allow the fluffy one to lie down on the chest. During this time, the owner will feel significant relief.
Insomnia
You need to press your forehead to your pet and stay in this position for about five minutes. Then put the animal on the neck. The number of procedures required depends on the age of the person. Scientific studies have proven that people who allow their pets to sleep next to them do not need treatment. Since insomnia does not bother them.
Atherosclerosis
People suffering from this disease should undergo cat therapy regularly. It helps improve blood circulation.
Liver disease
Fluffy ones lie on the owner’s stomach, lower their head to the right hypochondrium, which relieves pain in the liver. After lying there for half an hour, you need to repeat the procedure three days later. And already at the 10th session you feel better.
Arthritis
In all countries of the world, traditional medicine advises treating illness with the help of a pet. Just 10 minutes to sit with your furry one is enough.
, which will warm the painful area with warmth. And within a month the result will be visible.
Bronchitis
Cats can treat this disease like no other. It’s like they are psychics and feel the problem area and often come to the rescue themselves. If you sit the animal on your chest 2 times a day, coughing attacks will stop and breathing will improve.
Headache
If the headache is frequent and stable, a person should allow the furry one to sit on the neck or head for a week. Preferably several times a day.
Toothache
Thanks to heat and bioenergy waves, pets relieve any pain, even dental pain. There is no need to rush to take medications if you have your own doctor in the house.
Depression
To get out of depression, you can play with your pet for about 15 minutes
. Thanks to kind and cheerful cats, a person forgets about all the exciting problems.
Stroke
Those suffering from paralysis should take the prescribed medications and allow the pet to take part in its recovery. The favorite will come whenever she wants and do what she sees fit. Often this is a claw massage performed on painful areas.
Neuralgia
Neuralgic pain is relieved by trust between the owner and the cat. Having called the fluffy one, she herself will try to get rid of the oppressive sensations in the disturbing place. But no one canceled the medications. They will serve as a complement to cat therapy treatment.
Chronic fatigue
Doctors conduct observations and claim that pets cope with this syndrome without much difficulty. They are able to restore mental balance and relieve all kinds of stress.
A person who feels regularly tired should spend a lot of time with his pet. Talk to her and caress her, because this is how she absorbs negative waves.
Kidneys

Healing cats: buy a beast and be healthy!
Scientists say that people who have a cat at home turn to doctors for help five times less often than those who do not have a furry pet in the house. This is not surprising: since ancient times, the healing abilities of cats have been known in many countries, and later doctors even invented feline therapy - the treatment of many ailments with the help of cats and without any drugs or other methods of medical influence. Some scientists claim that cats heal us thanks to their unique extrasensory abilities, some note the special healing aura of these animals, but in general the mechanism of such treatment is not important, because there is only one conclusion: after a cat lies next to your sore spot, the pain is significantly subsides, and you are on the mend. And if you doubt whether cats cure any diseases, try checking it out.
How do cats heal people?
It is believed that cats have many healing methods that they can use while close to their owner. This includes “massage” with paws, and “warming up” when the cat lies down on a sore spot, and “irradiation” with healing waves. It is believed that the biological effect in females is much stronger than in males, and it is cats that treat stress, diseases of the nervous system and diseases of the internal organs. Cats can also cure osteochondrosis, arthrosis, radiculitis and other orthopedic diseases.
However, treatment with cats depends on what breed your pet is. Different animals can have different effects on our body, and if you want to know which cats treat your illness, here is a sample list:
- long-haired cats (Angora, Persian, Siberian, Burmese, etc.) are excellent “neuropathologists” who cope well with irritability, depression and insomnia of the owner,
- separately, Persian cats can effectively treat osteochondrosis and joint pain,
- cats with medium-length fur (British or exotic shorthair) - “cardiologists”,
- short-haired and hairless cats “specialize” in diseases of the kidneys, liver and gastrointestinal tract,
- Siamese cats manage to kill all pathogenic microbes in the house, so their owners never get sick with flus and colds.
In any case, treatment with cats begins with the fact that you must take your pet in your arms and stroke it: through your fingers and palms the cat will have the most healing effect on you. In severe cases, cats come and lie on your sore spot on their own.

Famous healing breeds
A Persian breed pet is ideal for the role of healer.
Each cat breed has an individual character and temperament. Cats-healers should be positively disposed towards a person, have a feeling of affection and love for him. This is the only way an animal can help a patient get rid of diseases that are caused by a variety of internal and external causes. Admirers of the Persian breed claim that Persian cats cope with diseases better than others. They have the following effects:
- relieve stress;
- relieve bad thoughts;
- take on negative energy.
Other cat healers claim that the best furry doctor is the Siamese breed. The animal, with its vibrations, creates a microclimate in the home that has a beneficial effect on the entire human body. In such a room, any infection is destroyed without a trace. List of diseases that Siamese cats can easily treat:
- acute respiratory infections and acute respiratory viral infections;
- inflammatory bacterial complications.
If a person has heart pain, and in addition diseases caused by disruption of the cardiovascular system are progressing, it is recommended to get a cat of the British or Scottish Shorthair breed. But sphinxes are considered healers who relieve kidney, liver and gastrointestinal diseases.
Can barn cats heal?
Even mongrel fluffies can improve the well-being of their owner.
It has been proven that outbred cats of various colors treat people no worse than their titled relatives. Kittens and adult pets of nobles have a more affectionate, flexible character. And if a four-legged friend is saved by a person from certain death, he will forever remember this kind, incomparable act of value. The animal will literally heal the patient’s aura with its breath and will be able to treat various joint, cardiovascular, and viral infectious diseases.
How do colors affect healing abilities?
Cats, whose fur coat is predominantly white, treat diseases of people of various etiologies; in addition, they stimulate metabolic processes in the body, due to which recovery occurs faster. Depression, stress, and nervous disorders are treated with the help of pets with pure black coat color. But tricolor cats, as well as red, gray, and striped relatives, completely remove the negative. When contacting them, a person experiences pleasure, relaxes, and forgets about worries and everyday problems.
How do cats treat people themselves?
If your cat feels that you need her help, she will be able to accurately identify your sore spot and lie on it or at least snuggle up to it. In this case, you cannot consider the animal annoying and drive it away, although, however, the cat will not be offended: if she thinks that she should cure you, she will do it persistently, so she simply will not leave.
Another important treatment method is rumbling. In this way, cats treat stress, and at the same time improve the condition of human bone tissue and promote rapid cell recovery. This, by the way, has been proven by scientists who determined the vibration frequency of the purring of cats - the most healing waves are found within 22 and 44 hertz!
And, of course, treatment with cats is largely based on the energy exchange between the animal and its owner. If a cat likes you, she will not only give you her energy, but will also specifically increase her bioenergetic abilities in order to heal you from any ailment.
Well, if you don’t know whether cats can cure your disease, remember that these animals are literally “prescribed” for those who suffer:
- hypertension,
- heart disease (suffered myocardial infarction),
- stomach ulcer or gastritis,
- bronchitis, pneumonia, influenza,
- neuroses and nervous disorders: if the cat feels that you are irritated or upset, it will even be intrusive in order to relieve your stress and prevent a catastrophe with your health!
In addition, cats can reduce high blood pressure, relieve headaches and even... promote the rapid healing of wounds and injuries. And even if it is not known for certain how cats treat people, it doesn’t matter: the process of “therapy” will always be very pleasant for you, because you can spend a few quiet minutes stroking your pet and feeling her reciprocal love for you. And even if after such treatment you have to go to the doctor, rest assured: an ordinary doctor will find significant improvements in your condition!
How does a cat treat its owner?
Domestic cats heal people, causing a lot of positive emotions with their appearance and behavior. The patient, seeing such cuteness, relaxes, forgets about pain and discomfort. It is in a positive attitude that the maximum healing effect is achieved. Men and women who have cats at home are much less likely to suffer from various diseases. If the pets feel that something is wrong with the owner, he is sick and experiencing discomfort, the animals immediately provide first aid. They lie opposite the diseased area and take away negative energy. Thanks to this effect, a person can recover faster at home, without resorting to traditional medicine.
